Rosenborg Don't Plan On Relinquishing Mikael Lustig To West Ham
The Hammers are unlikely to be deterred by Rosenborg's hands-off warning...
Rosenborg are determined to fend off interest in their star defender Mikael Lustig though admitted it won’t be easy. The Sweden international is attracting attention from Europe's top divisions after a number of eye-catching displays for his current employers.
Speculation has ramped up tipping Gianfranco Zola's West Ham to make a move, with a £1million bid believed to be in the offing.
Rosenborg’s sporting director Erik Hoftun responded to those reports, as well as others linking the talented youngster to clubs in Holland and Germany by telling fotbollexpressen.se: “We will of course keep him, but when the big clubs start to let hear from them, it can be difficult.”
Lustig has refused to make a comment on the matter while in his homeland representing Sweden in the Under-21 European Championships.
