Aaron Lennon Reveals His 'Physical & Mental' Improvement At Tottenham Hotspur
The livewire winger has stated that it's a constant battle to keep getting better, in his mind as well as his body...
"I feel I'm a different player from the one who signed back in 2005, and different still from the Aaron Lennon of a year ago," he told Spurs' official monthly magazine.
"Football is all about getting the mental and physical sides right, but it's only when those two elements come together that you really get the idea that you've progressed.
"Over the second half of the campaign in particular, it feels like I've stepped up to a whole new level of performance."
The 22-year-old inked a new contract at White Hart Lane at the end of March, and feels that this, along with his continuing international involvement, gave him a real boost.
"Getting back into the England reckoning has definitely been one of the most pleasing aspects of the season for me," he added.."I had been away from the whole set-up for a while, yet it seemed like everything came together at once - signing a new deal here, being a big part of the Spurs revival, and making my mark on the international scene.
"And now it's a case of continuing that progress, particularly given how close we are to the World Cup Finals."
A groin strain suffered towards the end of the campaign has kept the winger out of the latest Three Lions squad, currently preparing for World Cup qualifiers against Kazakhstan and Andorra.
