Manchester United's Anderson Promises To Strip If He Scores Against Barcelona

The Brazilian is promising a rather outrageous celebration, should he break his goals duck against Barca tomorrow night...

Anderson - Manchester United
Manchester United midfielder Anderson is yet to score a senior goal for the club, only finding the net for the first-team in penalty shoot-outs thus far into his career. However, should that situation change in the Champions League final against Barcelona tomorrow night in Rome, then it seems he has an unusual celebration lined up.

"Competition is quite tough," he told The Manchester Evening News.

"I will strip naked and run around the stadium if I score in the final.

"I have already scored two goals - but they were penalties. My aim is to help the team and I will do anything to help them. If I can score even better."

The Brazilian might well find himself in the starting line-up tomorrow evening, with Darren Fletcher suspended for the match, after he received a controversial red card against Arsenal in the semi-final at the Emirates Stadium.

Anderson is looking to use the Scotsman's absence as an inspiration, claiming that the team will have their suspended team-mate in their hearts and minds when they take the field against the Catalans.

"I'm very sad because every player wants to play in the final. Especially the Champions League final," the South American added.

"But every player has ups and downs and he had a bad moment. We are going to try to do our best to win the trophy for everybody and for him too."
