Peter Lovenkrands To Quit Relegated Newcastle United
The Danish international is looking out for number one...
Peter Lovenkrands' agent has admitted his client is not prepared to stick around Tyneside in order to help Newcastle United in their bid to get straight back into the Premier League.
The Danish winger, who arrived from Schalke in January, had recently indicated that he was eager to make his six-month deal more permanent, but that was before they suffered a catastrophic demotion.
"We are looking for a new contract for Peter in England," Lovenkrands' representative Ivan Marko Benes told Bold.dk.
"Most players want to play in the top division, so Peter is no different."
Lovenkrands was bitterly disappointing in what looks to have been his final outing for Newcastle. The 29-year-old failed to make any discernible impact despite being entrusted with a starting spot by Alan Shearer in their final game against Aston Villa, which they absolutely needed - and absolutely failed - to get a result from.
