Everton forward Louis Saha has defended his decision to leave Manchester United in favour of Goodison Park.

Despite some feeling that he never lived up to his mammoth price tag after joining the Red Devils from Fulham in 2004, Saha feels that he has nothing to prove to anyone outside Everton.

"I am very happy with my choice to come to Everton," he told the press. "My team-mates are happy too.

"Great things are coming for the team, not only this season but for the future as well.

"That is why I have done the right thing in coming to Everton, but I don't think I have exceeded expectations yet."

With the Blues set to contest an FA Cup final in a bid to win their first piece of silverware since 1995, Saha is eager to impress.

"We have seen off big teams and now face another one," he continued.

"We deserve to get to the final because we have worked so hard throughout the cup.

"It is fantastic to get to the final as these big games bring out the best of you. But we have not come all this way for nothing."

Saha, 30, signed for the Toffees last summer after four injury-plagued seasons at Old Trafford.
