Peter Reid To Head Everton Takeover Bid - Reports
An invest consortium led by Peter Reid are preparing launch a bid for the Blues...
Peter Reid is reportedly busily drumming up cash and support for a planned takeover of his beloved club Everton.
According to News of the World, the former Goodison idol is operating as senior advisor to London Nominees Ltd, an international investment company which is said to have Everton square in their targets as they look to foray into football ownership.
Reid, who enjoyed seven distinguished years at Everton from 1982-1989, is said to have become central to the firm's footballing ambitions due to his extensive experience in the game and the breadth of knowledge and contacts that comes with it.
Neither the 52-year-old ex England star nor Everton chairman Bill Kenwright have publicly commented on the matter, though the latter has already gone on record as saying that he would be prepared to sell the Merseyside outfit to a person or persons more financially capable of bringing the club forward.
