Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has been relentlessly linked with an Emirates exit of late and he has been once again forced to refute such allegations today.
Real Madrid have reportedly been courting the Frenchman, with Wenger even claiming that it would be "interesting" to work for the Spanish heavyweights.
However, the Gunners boss today clarified his stance on the matter when addressing journalists at a pre-match press conference. He claimed he has always shown "commitment" to the north London side, however, he did state that he has spoken to other clubs in the past.
"I believe I have always shown my commitment to this club but I cannot deny contact with other clubs," he said. “If one day my commitment changes then don't worry, I will inform you.
"I cannot control what people say or what is written in newspapers. Nobody can question my commitment.”
Reacting to the news that club captain Francesc Fabregas had been cleared of his spitting allegations, Wenger expressed no surprise.
"I always believed that he was innocent and now that is confirmed by the FA," he stated.
Arsenal host Stoke City in the concluding day of the Premier League campaign on Sunday, May 24.
