Tottenham Midfielder Jermaine Jenas Impressed With Display At Everton
The Spurs man was pleased with the way the team played at Goodison Park
Jenas functioned as part of a three-man central midfield, along with Tom Huddlestone and Luka Modric, and, although disappointed that they didn't manage to win, was pleased with the side's shape and solidity.
"The first half was good," he told the club's official website.
"For us to adapt to a different system and play so well in that first half was pleasing for us as a team and showed the manager that we can adapt to different formations if we need to.
"We dominated in that first half and if we'd have scored then we'd have been in a great position to go on and win it.
"They put us under pressure in the second half but we were so dominant at the back and I never felt they were going to score.
"Overall, it was a good performance. Even though we didn't win, it was one of the strongest and steadiest performances away from home against a good side who could well finish fifth."
