Lokomotiv Moscow Keeper Eldin Jakupovic Admits Tottenham Deal In The Works
Spurs could very well have a young Swiss shot-stopper in their ranks next season...
Eldin Jakupovic has substantiated reports that he is in discussions over a possible move to English Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur.
The 24-year-old goalkeeper, who first made waves internationally during FC Thun's fairytale Champions League campaign three years ago, is currently on the books at Lokomotiv Moscow but has spent this season on loan at his boyhood club Grasshopper Zurich.
Earlier this week, British tabloid The Daily Mail claimed that Spurs were actively going after the Jakupovic, which has since been confirmed by the Kozarac-born 'keeper himself.
"Yes, it's true, I am in touch with Tottenham Hotspur," Jakupovic told Basler Zeitung.
"But I only want to talk it about when the deal is fully completed."
It is thought that Tottenham will have to shell out in the region of €2.8 million (£2.5m) for the 6ft 4in goalkeeper, who has won one full international cap to date for Switzerland.
