James Morrison To Leave West Brom For Bolton Wanderers - Report
The Scotland international could be on his way to Lancashire from the Black Country...
West Bromwich Albion midfielder James Morrison could be set to switch Tony Mowbray's Baggies for Gary Megson's Bolton Wanderers in the summer, according to local press reports in the West Midlands.
The Scotland international was the subject of a reported £3 million bid from the Trotters in January, but that approach was turned down by Mowbray. Now, Birmingham based newspaper The Sunday Mercury reports that the Trotters could be lining up another move for the player, who has been an outstanding performer for the Baggies in a disappointing season, in the summer.
Albion are currently bottom of the Premier League table, and are seven points away from safety with a meagre looking total of 25. Should they be relegated, then Morrison has stated that he would be forced to consider his future, especially with an international career now at stake.
The midfielder impressed many observers with his performances of skill and subtlety in Scotland's recent double-header with Holland and Iceland, with the Baggies player being a key factor in his country's 2-1 victory over the latter at Hampden Park.
