Liverpool Do Not Have Psychological Edge Over Chelsea - Avram Grant
Former Blues boss Avram Grant feels the hex Liverpool had over Chelsea in the Champions League is over.
Liverpool have already done the double over their competitive rivals from London, Chelsea, in the Premier League this season, but former manager Avram Grant feels the Stamford Bridge outfit struck a psychological blow against the men from the Mersey when they downed the Reds in the Champions League in the last campaign.
Grant also feels that Guus Hiddink is the right man to guide the club one step further than he did in Europe, by not only steering them to the final, but winning the tournament outright.
"The games between the two sides are always tight, but maybe our victory last season is important," he told Sport.
"Liverpool beat Chelsea twice in the Champions League until we beat them last year so there is no psychological problem for Chelsea now."
He continued, "Liverpool love the Champions League, but I think their supporters want to win the Premier League as well.
"I think Chelsea can be in the Champions League Final again this year. They have the talent to do it and I know the desire is there," he concluded.
