Wigan Athletic Sweating On N'Zogbia Scan Results
The Frenchman's promising start to his career at the JJB might just have been curtailed, depending on scan results expected later today...
Charles N'Zogbia picked up a knee injury during Wigan Athletic's dramatic victory against Hull City on Sunday, the severity of which is yet to be determined.
The former Newcastle United wide-man was unable to participate in the second half due to the after-effects of a collision with Tigers defender Kamil Zayette just before the break.
Latics boss Steve Bruce is still waiting to learn the full extent of N'Zogbia's injury but has admitted that he fears the worst.
"We're obviously worried about Charles - his exit at half-time affected our style of play," Bruce told The Wigan Observer.
"The lad got an impact blow on his knee. He'll have scans and X-rays in the next 24 or 48 hours once everything has settled down.
"Hopefully it's not too serious. Charles had started showing flashes of why we brought him here in the first place."
