thumbnail Hello,

The Rams boss says it will take a huge offer to land the Scottish international midfielder...

Derby County manager Nigel Clough insists the Championship club have no intention of allowing Kris Commons to leave the club on the cheap.

Recent speculation in the British press had linked the versatile left-sided midfielder with a move to Premier League clubs Hull City, Newcastle United and Wigan Athletic.

Apparently, the top flight trio were preparing offers in the region of £2 million in an attempt to prise the 25-year-old away from Pride Park, but the Rams boss is adamant it would have to be an extremely good bid for the east Midlands outfit to even consider selling.

"We will rebuff any interest as much as we can," Clough is quoted as saying in The Daily Mirror.

"It would take silly money to get one of those sorts of players away."

The Mansfield-born Scotland international, who has won four caps to date, has been in good form for Derby County this season, scoring seven goals in 37 appearances.
