James Morrison Admits To Miserable Times At West Bromwich Albion
The sight of the Premier League standings makes the 22-year-old sick to the stomach...
James Morrison is under no illusions as to just how serious West Bromwich Albion's plight is.
The Baggies have been firmly rooted to the foot of the table for some time already, their recent toothless defeat against Arsenal putting them six points shy of safety with just ten games remaining.
"We spent almost two hours poring over the Arsenal game to see exactly where we went wrong and how we can put it right," Morrison was quoted as saying on Sky Sports News.
"As always, there was a healthy and frank exchange of words, with both the coaching staff and players chipping in.
"We did a lot of defensive work when we were out in Spain recently but, if you don't take it into the matches, it doesn't count for much.
"To be fair, we've been working on it for months because it's been the biggest problem this year. I'm sick of talking about it. That's why we're bottom.
"We now need to grind out wins. With only 10 games to go the pressure is really on.
"It's not nice for anyone involved with the club - especially the fans - and it's difficult to play at the moment because of the position we are in.
"But we've got to deal with it."
Every game has become a must-win for West Brom, who will be desperate to win against West Ham United on Monday to begin what would be nothing short of a great escape.
