Julio Arca Warns Middlesbrough Of Tim Cahill Threat
The Argentine midfielder knows what problems Cahill can cause Boro in the FA Cup...
Middlesbrough midfielder Julio Arca has revealed who he believes will be the real threat from Everton in their FA Cup quarter-final clash on Sunday.
The 28-year-old has warned his team-mates that they need to be wary of the threat Tim Cahill poses to their chances of progressing in this year's tournament.
The Australian midfielder is renowned for his heading ability and could cause Gareth Southgate's side some problems, especially after Boro's 4-0 thrashing at the hands of Tottenham Hotspur earlier in the week.
Speaking to the Sunday Express, Arca said, "We have to fear Cahill. He’s a player who can adapt to any position – midfield, wide or up front. He scores goals – especially from free-kicks and set-pieces – so we obviously have to take care of what he can do.
"We’re happy to have reached this stage and we’re looking forward to winning and getting to the semi-final."
Boro are currently embroiled in a relegation battle at the bottom of the Premier League table, and a good cup run would be welcomed by the club's fans, who will have the chance to forget about their poor showing in the league.
