Franck Ribery Could Replace Cristiano Ronaldo At Manchester United - Agent
Manchester United are the latest club that Franck Ribery's agent has said his client could join - after revealing last week that a move to Barcelona would also be good...
Franck Ribery's agent appears determined to find him a new club, as he stated that Manchester United are interested in the Frenchman only days after claiming a move to Barcelona would be great.
While the player himself has only gone public with his desire to succeed at Bayern Munich, his representative Alain Migliaccio has been busy working the media.
With Barcelona president Joan Laporta denying last week's media reports that a deal was in place for Ribery to join on a four-year contract in the summer, a new angle was required.
Migliaccio moved quickly. He told Bild, the paper which had revealed that the Blaugrana would be Ribery's next destination, that Old Trafford could also be an attractive option.
"If Manchester United sells Cristiano Ronaldo, Sir Alex Ferguson would like to cover that transfer with Ribery's signature," the German paper quote the agent as saying.
Ribery has a contract with Bayern until 2011, but at the same time as stating that he is enjoying life at the Allianz Arena, he has said he would be surprised to complete that agreement.
With his agent continuing to link him publicly to other clubs, that may not be surprising, and it may only be a matter of time before he comments on reported interest from Juventus and Real Madrid.
