Spain Go Top Of FIFA Rankings

Spain have roared to the top of the FIFA World Rankings following their Euro 2008 triumph, while Italy and Germany have both risen into second and third respectively.
La Seleccion ended 44 years without a major trophy by winning the European Championships in Austria and Switzerland last month. This triumph has seen them move up three places in the FIFA Rankings, and they now sit on top of the world.

Despite a rather disappointing Euros, Italy have moved up one place from third into second, while Germany, who finished runner-up in the recent finals, complete the top three.

The biggest casualties are Brazil and Argentina, who struggled in their recent World Cup qualifiers, and have now moved down to fourth and sixth respectively, with Holland sandwiched in between the middle of them.

Croatia, the Czech Republic, Portugal, and Euro flops France complete the top 10. England, who failed to qualify for Euro 2008, are down to fifteenth.
