The top-rated 22-year-old has been heavily linked to a host of Europe's elite, with Milan, Juventus and Manchester United the clubs most often brought into association with him.
Now, the Portuguese international's agent Paulo Barbosa claims that Arsenal have let their interest be known as well.
"Actually, we did not have normal contact from the Arsenal board, but from a member of the technical staff at the club," Barbosa told Portuguese reporters.
"At the moment there is not a formal offer yet, but it is possible that will happen soon as Juventus and AC Milan have shown an equal interest in the player."
At this point it looks like Milan still head the queue for the cultured midfielder's signature, based on his recent admission that the San Siro is his dream destination.
