thumbnail Hello,

The Black Stars boss does not want to have anything doing with the Schalke midfielder after he was sent home during the World Cup for a breach of conduct

Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah has stated that Schalke midfielder Kevin-Prince Boateng is now out of his plans.

Appiah sent Boateng home from the World Cup for verbally abusing him at a training session after the former AC Milan man voiced his frustrations over the way the tournament had been organised by the country's FA.

Although the German-born midfielder has denied any wrongdoing, Appiah has since told a press conference in Accra that "for now, Kevin-Prince Boateng is not part of my plans."

Boateng was expelled in the Black Stars camp alongside former Milan team-mate Sulley Muntari, who is reported to have physically assaulted an official over an appearance fee row.

Appiah has now determined to instil "discipline" within the camp after agreeing to stay on as head coach despite his side's woeful group-stage campaign, from which they earned a single point.

"As we look ahead, I will look for committed players and we will try not to tolerate indiscipline and anyone who will bring our efforts down," he said.

"Players who come in will be made to sign contracts to forestall any problems like it happened [in Brazil]. The contracts will spell out clearly camp rules and all other conditions."
