Fifa also announced via its official media twitter handle @fifamedia on Wednesday: "The Single Judge of FIFA's Players' Status Committee yesterday confirmed the change of association of Emmanuel Frimpong - England to Ghana."
The player could get a call-up for the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations, but coach Kwesi Appiah might use the friendly against Tunisia on January 13 to assess his commitment.
