Al Ahly bring back Hossam El-Badry as coach
El-Badry returns as coach of Al Ahly in the wake of Manuel Jose's departure, who announced his resignation on Saturday after his side's 2-0 friendly loss to Espanyol

El-Badry followed that up with a Sudanese league trophy with Al-Merreikh and was back in Egypt merely a year later to take over at ENPPI. His tenure there lasted less than six months and was marked by a recent second round exit in the 2012 Caf Confederation Cup at the hands of Cercle Olympique de Bamako.
The 52-year-old will be asked to perform much better in Africa's premiere continental competition, the Caf Champions League, during his second stint at Al-Ahly who were drawn alongside former title-holders TP Mazembe, city rivals Zamalek, and Ghanaian newcomers Berekum Chelsea.
