Ahmed Hegazi dreams of being a new Maldini
Ahmed Hegazi says he hopes to emulate the career of Paolo Maldini and that his wish is to eventually play for Real Madrid following in recent move from Ismaily to Fiorentina
Ismaily defender Ahmed Hegazi has revealed his joy at his recent €1.5 million move to Fiorentina and his intent of emulating Italian legend Paolo Maldini during his time in Italian Serie A. The youngster also said that he hoped that his first stint in Europe would eventually propel him towards Real Madrid.“My first season will be the big challenge because it's my first season in Europe and I’m hoping one day to join Real Madrid. I stuck with the Viola because they stuck with me for six months and never gave up on signing me,” he told his club’s official website.
“I hope this step can improve my performance with Egyptian Olympic and first team,” he added.
