In yet another troublesome incident, he was assailed on Monday during his side’s return fixture against Besiktas, which ended 2-0 in favour of the Turk Telekom Arena side.
Besiktas’ supporters hurled plastic bottles at the Cote d’Ivoire international on the sidelines as he was about to take a throw in. A fan later entered the pitch to confront Eboue but was stopped by security and his team-mates.Besiktas will be forced to play two games behind close doors because of the incident.
