Tanzania will face Sudan on August 10 in an international match after Palestine decided to cancel their trip.
This was confirmed by Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) information officer, Boniface Wambura, who told The Citizen that they will play Sudan instead.
“It’s now official that Taifa Stars will play Sudan on the Fifa match day, it’s our hope that it will help to drill the team before facing Algeria next month.”
Sudan are currently ranked 97th in the latest Fifa rankings while Tanzania lie at 127th in the list. All the clubs have been requested to release their players.
Tanzania will lock horns with Sudan on Wednesday in Khartoum. The last time Sudan played an international friendly match, they beat Kenya's Harambee Stars 2-1 at Nyayo Stadium.
