Coach Jan Poulsen has named a 20-man squad which does not include Simba's highly rated keeper Juma Kaseja. The last line of defence is notably absent from the squad that will take on Palestine on August 10, though he is on form.
The squad will embark on a training camp as part of their preparations for the African Cup of Nations qualifier match against Algeria in September.
Tanzania are ranked 127th while Palestine are 166 in the Fifa rankings. Taifa Stars, who were drawn in Group D in the Afcon qualifiers sit third with four points and a superior goal difference compared to Algeria, also on four.
Morocco lead the pack on seven points, the same as Central African Republic but with a better goal difference.
