thumbnail Hello,

The Msimbazi street club have bolstered their ranks with five new players ahead of the Premier League season and Caf Confederation Cup campaign

Tanzanian giants Simba have dropped striker Emmanuel Okwi and goalkeeper Francis Ochieng from next season's squad.

The two have been left out of the squad that was announced on Saturday by the club's vice-chairman, Geofrey Nyange.

"We opted not to recruit Ochieng after failing to secure his International Transfer Certificate (ITC) on time," Nyange told the Citizen.

"This time around, we've recruited players who have what it takes to propel our team to higher heights,' Nyange added.

Okwi was dropped after failing to go for trials at South African club Kaizer Chiefs after Simba had released him.

The club has already signed Zambian Felix Mumba Sunzu and Fernand Onassis Kemo from the Central African Republic to replace the two outgoing players.

The other new faces in the team include Ugandan Dereck Walulya, Jerry Santo from Kenya and Rwanda's Patrick Mafisango.
