Kenyan international midfielder Victor Mugubi Wanyama could be on his way to the Scottish league.
Mugubi, who is a younger brother to Inter’s MacDonald Mariga has attracted the interest of a number of clubs, but a move to Celtic now looks most probable.
The youngster, who has played for Belgium’s Germinal Beerschot since 2008, is being considered by the Scottish giants according to his agent Ivan Modia.
“There are seven clubs interested, but Celtic has now put in an offer. Deals have been agreed between Germinal Beerschot and two clubs,” Modia was quoted as saying in the Daily Express.
“Standard Liege have been keen to close the deal, but the player wants to go to Celtic, added Modia.
Mugubi has played 11 times for the Kenya national team, 30 times for Germinal Beerschot. He has scored twice for the club.
