Paris Saint Germain are pondering signing Ivorian-born Gervinho during next transfer window…

In quest of players to reinforce their attacking line, French Ligue 1 side Paris Saint Germain have enlisted OSC Lille winger Gervinho for next season recruitment, according to French radio RMC.

The 23-year-old Cote D’Ivoire international is equally being solicited by German club Bayern Munich, Premier League Liverpool and La Liga Atletico Madrid, according to reports.

But observers say the player will likely spurn the numerous offers to stay put with the Les Dogues, who are likely to participate in next season’s UEFA Champions League.

Gervinho joined Lille from Le Mans in 2009, and has greatly contributed to the rise of the Northern club, which currently lead the Ligue 1 table with 58 points, ahead of title holders Olympique Marseille, 54pts.

Gervinho is the league’s sixth top scorer with 12 goals and second on the list of best assists.

Gervais Yao Kouassi (Gervinho’s real name), was groomed at the famous Abidjan-based Mimosifcom football academy, where the likes of the Toure brothers of Manchester City, Chelsea’s Salomon Kalou and Sevilla’s Didier Zokora graduated from.
