Senegal coach Amara Traore says his team is highly determined to engage Cameroon come March 26 at the Leopold Senghor Stadium in Dakar during the 2012 African Cup of Nations third round qualifying games.
Speaking to Cafonline on Tuesday, Traore saluted the player’s punctuality to camp, which he interprets as a sign of great determination.
“Camping began by midday Sunday, but by evening there were already 15 players reporting. This shows their level of involvement and willingness to go in same direction with the technical staff, which is winning this encounter to consolidate our place as leaders of the group and continue the work of reconstruction of our national football. Beyond all my hopes, the players have responded very well,” Traore said.
Senegal are leading Group E with 6 points, followed by Cameroon (4pts), DR Congo (1pt) and Mauritius (0pt).
Cameroon are fine tuning in Lisbon, Portugal, and will jet into Dakar by Thursday evening, according to reports.
