Thirteen Senegal professional players have arrived in the country’s capital Dakar where the 2012 African Cup of Nations qualifying clash between Senegal and Cameroon will hold on March 26 at the Léopold Sédar Senghor Stadium, Senegal news agency, APS, said Monday.
The players were warmly welcomed by members of their families and the local supporters committee, according to reports.
The contingent was made of Michael Tavarès, Jacques Faty, Boukary Dramé, Malickou Diakhaté, Bayal Sall, Moussa Sow, Papis Demba Cissé, Demba Bâ, Rémy Gomis , Issiar Dia, Souleymane Camara, Mohamed Diamé and Lamine Ludovic Sané.
Camping kicked off on Sunday at a hotel facility in the city, and will last till Thursday.
Senegal are topping Group E with 6 points, ahead of Cameroon (4pts), DR Congo (1pt) and Mauritius (0pt).
A win for the hosts will better their chances of reaching the finals of the 2012 African Cup of Nations.
