Kamboi Eagles of Kenema registered their third successive victory in a row to move at the top of the Sierra Leone Premier League.
Kamboi Eagles of Kenema registered their third successive victory to move to the top of the Sierra Leone Premier League after defeating newly promoted Area Best 3-1 in Kenema.
The Eagles’ influential striker, Ibrahim K Fofanah scored a brace to join Ports Authority’s Muwhaid Sesay and Mohamed Daddy Conteh at the top of the scoring chart with three goals each.
However, Amadu Barrie’s goal was not enough for Area Best to escape defeat with Alieu Musa also getting his name on the score sheet for the Eagles, as he registered his second of the season.
The victory sends Kamboi Eagles to the top with nine points, two ahead of Ports Authority FC who face Freetown City FC on Sunday at the National Stadium.
Meanwhile, another newly promoted team, Kissy All Stars bounced back from last week’s home defeat suffered to Wusum Stars by forcing host, Bo Rangers to a goalless draw at the Bo Coronation Ground.
The draw moves Bo Rangers to fourth in the log with five points from three matches, four places above Kissy All Stars who have only secured two points from three matches.
