Morocco To Face Libya In Marrakesh

The Moroccan Federation has selected the new Marrakesh stadium as the venue for the upcoming friendly match.

According to Mountakhab.net, the Moroccan Royal Football Federation (FRMF) has picked Marrakesh’s new stadium as the venue for their February 9th friendly match against Libya. The game is meant to serve as preparation for the Atlas Lions’ highly anticipated 2012 AFCON qualifying matchup against Algeria which will take place on March 25th.

Meanwhile, the FRMF are also in the midst of negotiations with a number of European teams in the hopes of scheduling another friendly encounter to mark the inauguration their “Ibn Batuta” stadium in Tangiers. The game in question would be played the 29th of March, a FIFA calendar international fixture day.
