Glo-CAF 2010 Awards: Ghana Best National Team, Ahmed Hassan Best African-Based Player

The essentials of the Glo-CAF awards night…

Besides the top Glo-CAF Africa Footballer of the Year reaped by Cameroon captain Samuel Eto’o, provides a list of the rest awards handed out during the glittering ceremony in Cairo on Monday night.

Most Promising Talent of the Year

Nominees: Kwadwo Asamoah (Ghana), Moussa Maazou (Niger) and Ryad Boudebouz (Algeria).

Winner: Kwadwo Asamoah

Women's African Footballer of the Year

Nominees: Stella Mbachu (Nigeria), Perpetual Nkwocha (Nigeria) and Ebere Orji (Nigeria Under-20)

Winner: Perpetual Nkwocha

Coach of the Year Award

Nominees: Hassan Shehata (Egypt), Milovan Rajevac (ex-Ghana), Lamine N'iaye (TP Mazembe)

Winner: Milovan Rajevac

Club of the Year Award

Nominees: TP Mazembe (DR Congo, CS Sfaxien (Tunisia) and FUS Rabat (Morocco).

Winner: TP Mazembe

Presidential Awards

Recipients: Algeria, Cameroon, Cote d'Ivoire, Egypt, Ghana, Nigeria and South Africa.

N.B. These awards go to the Football Federation presidents of the respective countries.

National Team of the Year

Nominees: Egypt, Ghana and Algeria.

Winner: Ghana

African XI for 2010
