French Ligue 1 newcomers Brest have been stunning spectators across France and beyond this season, and after their Saturday away victory against Bordeaux - which shot them to third position on the league table - their approval rating skyrocketed in the French media.
But Brest defender and Congo Republic international Oscar Ewolo warns his team mates against complacency and urged for continuous hard work.
“I would like us to continue seeing ourselves like last year when we were in Ligue 2,” the 32-year-old told France Info.
“We don’t need to ask too many questions but just remain cool. If we start looking at our recent successes in Ligue 1 it will be complicated, we will get carried away, and don’t forget we’re just in the sixth round of the league.
“In reality, we should remain insouciant, like children, and keep working, and that’ll be the secret of our sustainable progress this season.”
Another big test for Ewolo and teammates will be their next weekend’s home clash against St. Etienne, who lie second in the league.
