Burkina Faso Announce Gabon Friendly

CAF African Cup Of Nations 2012 - Gabon & Equatorial Guinea

The Burkina Faso Football Federation (FBF) announced on Monday that the Stallions are set to play a friendly match against Gabon – co-host nation of the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations - in Nice, France on September 7.

Burkina are exempted by CAF (Confederation of African Football) from the September 3-5 AFCON qualifiers following the withdrawal of Mauritania whom they were to scheduled to play.

Gabon are not participating in the qualifiers as they are the host nation alongside Equatorial Guinea, but the central African country has been actively warming up ahead of the 2012 tournament as others play the qualifiers.
