Hassan Shehata Names Egypt Squad For AFCON Qualifier Against Sierra Leone
The Pharaoh’s tactician has left both Amr Zaki and Shikabala out of the squad but has given two ENNPI players their first call-ups.

Egyptian national team coach Hassan Shehata has revealed his squad for the upcoming 2012 AFCON qualifier versus Sierra Leone on September 5. Both of Zamalek’s star front men, Amr Zaki and Shikabala, have missed out. Zaki only recently returned to action following a groin injury while Shikabala is still on the sidelines with a similar knock.
Harras Al Hoodoud’s Ahmed Eid has also been omitted due to lack of competition stemming from a four game suspension. On the other hand, Shehata has handed first time call-ups to two ENNPI players, Walid Soliman and Ahmed Abdul Zaher.
Emad Meteeb continues to be overlooked due to the contractual issues with Standard Liege that have just recently been resolved. He will be in the running once again as soon as he begins playing for Al-Ahly.
