If Kenya's Under-20s can beat Sudan tomorrow (Saturday) in Nairobi in the return leg of the Africa Youth Championship, the youngsters will then hope to eliminate South Africa or Lesotho for them to grace the continental finals to be held next year in Libya.

Kenya beat Sudan 2-0 in the first leg a fortnight ago in Khartoum and team captain Innocent Mutiso was optimistic ahead of the crucial encounter.

"We have been training quite hard for this encounter and we hope to maintain our form we had in Sudan," Mutiso told the Daily Nation. "All we need is a draw and we are through."

Coach Vince Ombiji was also hopeful ahead of the encounter.

"Sudan have been studying our tape and by now, they must have seen our weak points, but that will not deter us from showing our best in that match."

Since the inception of the championship way back in 1977, Kenya have taken part just four times.
