The finals of the 50th edition of Mali’s national league will be held on Saturday, July 31 in Bamako between AS Real and Centre Salif Keita.
The West African country’s Head of State Amadou Toumani Toure will be chairing the ceremonies.
The encounter will celebrate the 50th anniversary of Mali’s league, as a result, a number of side attractions have been organised including concerts, cultural dances and presentation of certificates by the President to surviving winners of the first league championship in 1961.
Access to the stadium will be free to the public.
In Senegal, the first leg of the finals of Ligue 1 takes place on Saturday, July 31 at the Demba Diop Stadium. Jaraaf of Dakar, holders of multiple titles and favourites for the tie will confront Niary Tally, a rising club, going for its first ever national title.
The 2010 winners will succeed Linguere of Saint-Louis who won the title in 2009.
