EXCLUSIVE: Raymond Domenech In The Frame For Tunisia Coaching Job
The current France coach could be the next Tunisia gaffer...
By Stefan Coerts
The Tunisians are in the market for a new head coach to lead the north African nation to the 2014 World Cup and the Tunisian FA supposedly see Domenech as the perfect man for the job.
Domenech's contract with the French FA is due to expire after this summer's World Cup and the 58-year-old will not be offered a contract extension. He will instead be replaced by Laurent Blanc.
The France coach has reportedly already agreed terms with the Tunisian FA and the deal could be confirmed by the end of this week.
The decision to go for Domenech won't go down too well with a number of Tunisian pundits, who have continually voiced their opinion that a Tunisian coach should be appointed.
Faouzi Benzarti led Tunisia's national side during the African Nations Cup earlier this year and the former Libya gaffer initially appeared to be the number one candidate to lead the Aigles de Carthage in the build-up to the 2014 World Cup.
