‘Miracle’ Togo Goalkeeper Kodjovi Obilale Returns To France After Angola Shooting - Report
Obilale is back in Europe and ready to continue his medical treatment for the serious injuries he suffered during an attack on the Togolese national side in January...

Some sections of the media pronounced the goalkeeper dead, though he would in fact successfully battle abdomen and back injuries, undergoing surgery in Johannesburg's Millpark Hospital after being swiftly taken to South Africa.
Fraser Lamond, medical director of health assistance company International SOS, hinted last week that there were plans afoot to repatriate the custodian to France, where he currently plays with fourth flight side Pontivy. The Federation Francaise de Football have agreed to come to the player’s aid by footing the €65,000 fee, though it is suggested that the Togolese FA have settled the full amount for the time being.
Two members of the Togolese delegation were killed in the attack, which took place on January 8 in Cabinda, while another seven were injured.
