A meeting convened by the Tunisian Minister of Sports Samir Laabidi was held in Tunis yesterday and attended by members of the newly established Commission for Football Reform which has been put together to study the root causes of the decline of both the national team and the domestic league.
Matters under review during the four-month period will range from league organisation to youth formation, administrative and financial issues at club level, unsporting behaviour inside and outside stadiums, and the state of officiating in the domestic league.
The commission is set to study the issues and provide a detailed plan of action to elevate the level of Tunisian football. Some changes proposed are scheduled to be put in place in time for next season while others will likely take a longer period to come to full fruition.
The names of the 10 members of the commission are listed below, while it must be noted that other specialists could, and likely will, be consulted during the four-month review process.
Commission members: Slim Chiboub (Tunisian National Olympic Committee President and General Coordinator), Slim Aloulou (Expert in International Football), Hammouda Ben Ammar (Former FTF and Club Africain President), Othman Jenayeh (Former Etoile du Sahel President), Moncef Foudhaili (Specialist in Sport Legislation), Belhassen Mallouche (Specialist in Technical Direction), Ali Ben Naceur (Specialist in Officiating), Mahmoud Ouertani (Specialist in Coaching), Mohmaed Louzir (Specialist in Financial and Sports Management), Samir Sellimi (Former International Player)Become a fan of Goal.com International on Facebook!
