Ghana’s new goal poaching discovery Dominic Adiyiah has been issued with a work permit by the Italian Embassy in Accra, allowing him to play for Milan.

He told the local media: "This is a new journey for me and I am going out there to do my very best for Milan."

"I know this will have a bearing on my national team prospects and I know the only solution is hard work.

"I am going to work in full force and full determination to be successful. I am confident I will succeed."

The Under-20 World Cup top goalscorer joins the club's training for the first time on Tuesday. He arrived in Milan on Monday morning.

His deal was ratified from Norwegian side Fredrikstad when the transfer window opened in January.

Adiyiah was part of the Ghana squad that made it to the recent Africa Cup of Nations in Angola but enjoyed little playing time.

Milan have already rejected an offer from Spanish side Celta Vigo, who wanted him on loan.
