The Pharaohs will face the Desert Foxes in an epic AFCON semi-final on ThursdayEgypt winger Sayed Moawad has said that the Pharaohs will teach Algeria a lesson when the two clash in the Africa Cup on Nations semi-finals on Thursday.
Egypt progressed to the semis after beating Cameroon 3-1 yesterday while Algeria show off the tournament favorites Ivory Coast 3-2 on Sunday.
There has been a hostile relationship between Egypt and Algeria since November's World Cup decider which the Desert Foxes won 1-0.
The game was followed by severe clashes between the fans of the two teams and since then the bitter rivalry has never ebbed.
"The next game will be on the pitch away from any troubles, but we will teach the Algerians a lesson in football," Moawad told Egyptian radio.
"We want to prove that we failed to qualify for the World Cup only because of certain circumstances.
"We want to keep cheering up the Egyptian fans," the winger added.
