Africa Cup Of Nations: Tunisia's Youssef Msakni Sits Out Practice With Ankle Knock

The Esperance player missed his second day of training in Abu Dhabi yesterday.

According to Infosfoot.net, Tunisian international attacking midfielder Youssef Msakni did not participate in training with the team yesterday after also missing out on practice the day before. The youngster is reportedly suffering from a minor ankle sprain that has been deemed not too serious by the team’s medical staff.

Msakni had originally been expected back yesterday but the Carthage Eagles doctors preferred not to take any risks with the 19-year-old and allowed him to continue rehabilitating the injury rather than have him participate and potentially hurt himself again.

Meanwhile, Karim Haggui, who also missed out on practice two days ago with a cold, was back with his team-mates.

The North Africans have one more session in Abu Dhabi today before they leave on Thursday for Tunis. They will face Gambia on January 9th at El Menzah Stadium before they leave for the African Cup of Nations in Angola.
