Tunisia Goalkeeper Aymen Mathlouthi: The Sousse Training Camp Was A Success
The Etoile 'keeper believes that the team are doing much better physically after a week of endurance training.
“Personally I think that we’ve accomplished what the technical staff envisioned for this first training camp in Sousse. Despite the fatigue, the group has taken advantage of this physical conditioning. The CAN is slowly approaching. We hope to be ready on the ‘day of’ on all fronts. All the players are motivated to do well in Angola,” he explained.
Mathlouthi and his team-mates have been given two days of rest to recover as well as spend time with their families before the team departs for Abu Dhabi on December 31st to begin their second training camp which, according to Benzarti, will be more focused more on tactics and possible formations.
The North Africans will travel without Fahid Ben Khalfallah, who refused the call up to the national team without providing a reason, and Youssef Mouihbi, who has not recovered from his adductor injury in time to be ready to compete in Angola.
