thumbnail Hello,

The defending champions are in a tough Group C that include Nigeria, Benin and Mozambique.

The Pharaohs of Egypt's first warm-up match before the African Cup of Nations will be against Malawi on December 29, assistant coach Hamada Sedki has confirmed.

"We have agreed on playing Malawi on the 29th of December," Sedki told FilGoal.com.

"We will play another friendly in our pre-tournament camp in the UAE before travelling to Angola," he added.

Egypt will compete in Group C along with Nigeria, Benin and Mozambique, while Malawi lie in Group A with hosts Angola, Mali and Algeria.

The other match is expected to be against a team from either Group A or B of the CAN Angola finals.
