Ghana’s Under-20 World Cup winning coach Sellas Tetteh has taken over the affairs of a local club - Liberty Professionals - as head coach.
The 53-year-old starts work on Sunday in a difficult assignment against league contenders Ashanti Gold at the Len Clay Stadium.
"He already knows the terrain and much about the players so we are expecting a lot from him and help us this season," Liberty Professionals president Sly Tetteh told Ghanasoccernet.com.
Tetteh returns to the local club with a lot of rich international experience having helped the senior side, the Black Stars at the last CAN 2008 before handling the U-20 side.
He takes over from ex-international Isaac Acquaye, whose contract with the club has ended.
He stepped aside from that same post in 2008 when the Ghana Football Association gave him a higher position at the national team level.
Liberty Professionals lies in the third spot of the Ghana league.
