Opara's switch from Tunisia to Egypt has been called off...
Etoile du Sahel striker Emeka Opara has turned down the chance to join top Egyptian club Ismaily after they insisted he undergo a trial, the player's agent said.
Ismaily president, Emad Soliman, insisted Opara feature in a friendly against Arab Contractors on Tuesday, but the 24-year-old former Enyimba front man rejected the arrangement.
"There was an agreement with Ismaily that Opara was coming to sign a contract," agent Mounir Hassan told FilGoal.com.
"But then they wanted to watch him instead, and this won't happen. He will not be tested."
Opara was lined up to sign for Ismaily on a free transfer at the end of his contract with Etoile in December.
The former Kaiserslautern forward will now return to Tunisia, according to his Egyptian agent.
