Achille Emana Needs To Play Better With Betis If He Wants To Leave - Pepe Leon
The player has been vocal about his wish to leave the club...
Indeed, he went from being one of the most integral players in the team, to one of the least used substitutes, while they were in second division.
But the president of Real Betis, Pepe Leon, seems to be more and more infuriated with his many declarations to the press, proven by a recent interview with the Spanish newspaper's Marca's website.
"His eagerness to leave the club is known by everyone at the club. But if he really wants to leave, he should start playing well with us so that we can have a few offers sent our way."
The President then added that his many absences with the Cameroon national team did not help his acclimatization with the playing group.
He continued, "Of course he must feel at home and happy to be back with the Indomitable Lions. This week, he left again to join Cameroon for their match against Morocco, but nothing tells us that he will be coming back here with his batteries charged"
Leon was responding to Emana's declarations to French newspaper France Football, where he thanked Cameroon manager Paul Le Guen for picking him and giving him an opportunity to "breathe" and feel happy when playing football.
Emana will leave for both the African Cup of Nations and the World Cup if Cameroon win their confrontation against Morocco this Saturday.
