Highly-rated TP Mazembe captain, Tresor Mputu Mabi, has revealed that he will soon meet up the Lubumbashi-based club to discuss his future after fulfilling his promise to win the CAF Champions League for them.

The inspirational midfielder has turned down several offers to play in Europe because he said he wanted to help TP Mazembe to land the CAF Champions League.

And now after he inspired Les Corbeaux to this triumph over Heartland of Nigeria on Saturday at the Kenya Stadium in Lubumbashi, the talismanic midfielder said he is a fulfilled man.

“Now, after winning the CAF Champions League, I feel fulfilled,” Mputu told cafonline.com after the game.

“I have not overstayed my tenure at Mazembe. I promised myself that I would have to guide the club to a great feat before I think about leaving," .

The midfielder, who turns 24 on December 10 and touted as one of the best talents in the history of Congolese football, expressed delight at his contribution to the success of Mazembe.

“I feel happy for myself and my family and I thank all for their efforts in making this feat possible."

Reported to be one of the best paid players on the continent with a monthly salary of about $10,000, Mputu hinted that his future will soon be settled.

“My future depends on my contract. I will meet with Mazembe officials and sort things out,” he said.

Mputu, who joined Mazembe in 2003 and scored seven goals in the run-up to their Champions League conquest, was picked as the Most Valuable Player as DR Congo clinched the maiden edition of the African Nations Championship (CHAN) in the Ivory Coast in March.
